Cygnet E-invoicing offline tool

Cygnet E-invoicing tool is a desktop-based application that can be downloaded into any local or virtual machine or server. This tool can be used to register the taxpayer on Cygnet IRP. Activities like Invoice creation, E-invoice generation, E-way bill generation can be carried out using this tool.

To download offline tool and generate E-invoice, follow the below mentioned steps:

§  Download: Click on Download and Offline tool will be downloaded. Double click to open and run.

§  Register: Navigate to registration page wherein GSTIN needs to be mentioned. After entering GSTIN, notification will be received on the registered mobile number. Enter OTP to verify oneself and will also be asked to enter username and password to login to the IRP portal.

§  Login: Navigate to Login page wherein Username and Password needs to be entered. Upon verification by IRP portal, OTP will be sent to registered mobile number. Upon successful verification, one can successfully log into IRP Portal.

§  Open Offline tool: Open the downloaded offline tool and login using the GSTIN used for API Registration in the above step. Punch-in the invoice data for E-invoice preparation.

§  Download JSON: After preparing the E-invoice data in offline tool, click on download JSON to download the E-invoice data.

§  Push to IRP: After preparing the E-invoice data in offline tool, it can be directly pushed to Cygnet IRP for E-invoice generation.

§  Upload JSON Data: Navigate to Cygnet E-Invoicing Portal and click on Import. Navigate to Import > Document (E-invoice NIC Compliant) > Upload the downloaded JSON file > Click on upload.

1.1.   Cygnet E-invoicing Portal

This portal of E-invoicing will have the accessibility to generate E-invoice on the go, several statistics and reports on E-invoices processed through Cygnet E-invoicing portal, along with various other functionalities and features pertaining to E-invoicing. Further details can be seen in the below snapshot.

To access E-Invoicing Portal and generate E-invoice, follow the below mentioned steps:

§  Register: Navigate to registration page wherein GSTIN needs to be mentioned. After entering GSTIN, notification will be received on the registered mobile number. Enter OTP to verify oneself and will also be asked to enter username and password to login to the Cygnet E-invoicing portal.

§  Login: Navigate to Login page wherein Username and Password needs to be entered. Upon verification by IRP portal, OTP will be sent to registered mobile number. Upon successful verification, one can successfully log into Cygnet E-invoicing Portal.

§  API Registration: Navigate to API Signing & Stats > API Registration and click on API Actions > API Registration. Register using Directly option.

§  E-Invoicing Portal: Navigate to E-Invoicing Portal or from IRP Portal and access extended functionalities.

·         API via ERP: Cygnet IRP APIs can be consumed by respective ERP to carry out multiple activities of E-invoicing and E-way bill.

To access API via ERP and generate E-invoice and E-way bill, follow the below mentioned steps:

§  Register: Navigate to registration page wherein GSTIN needs to be mentioned. After entering GSTIN, notification will be received on the registered mobile number. Enter OTP to verify oneself and will also be asked to enter username and password to login to the Cygnet IRP portal.

§  Login: Navigate to Login page wherein Username and Password needs to be entered. Upon verification by IRP portal, OTP will be sent to registered mobile number. Upon successful verification, one can successfully login to Cygnet IRP portal.

§  API Registration: - Navigate to API Signing & Stats > API Registration and click on API Actions > API Registration. Register using ERP option and select desired ERP through which E-invoice, or E-way bill requires to be generated.

§  Access ERP and generate E-invoice and E-way Bill Navigate to the ERP provider, login and try generating E-invoice and E-way Bill from there.

·         API via GSP: Cygnet IRP APIs can be consumed by GSPs to carry out E-invoicing and E-way bill generation and other activities.

To access API via GSP and generate E-invoice and E-way bill, follow the below mentioned steps:

§  Register: Navigate to registration page wherein GSTIN needs to be mentioned. After entering GSTIN, notification will be received on the registered mobile number. Enter OTP to verify oneself and will also be asked to enter username and password to login to the Cygnet IRP portal.

§  Login: Navigate to Login page wherein Username and Password needs to be entered. Upon verification by IRP portal, OTP will be sent to registered mobile number. Upon successful verification, one can successfully login to Cygnet IRP portal.

§  API Registration: - Navigate to API Signing & Stats > API Registration and click on API Actions > API Registration. Register using GSP option and select desired GSP through which E-invoice or E-way bill requires to be generated.

§  Access GSP and generate E-invoice and E-way Bill Navigate to GSP, login and try generating E-invoice and E-way Bill from there.

·         Direct API access: These APIs can be directly accessed if user is an application service provider with development capabilities for generation of E-invoice and E-way Bill data from Cygnet IRP.

        To access Cygnet IRP API directly, develop an application to generate E-invoice and E-way bill, follow the below steps:

§  Register: - User will be navigated to registration page wherein user need to mention GSTIN. After entering GSTIN, user will receive a notification on the registered mobile number which must be entered to verify and will also be asked to enter username and password to login to the IRP portal.

§  Login: - User will be navigated to Login page wherein user will be asked to enter Username and Password. Upon verification by IRP portal, OTP will be sent to registered mobile number. Upon successful verification, user can successfully log into IRP Portal.

§  API Registration: - Navigate to API Signing & Stats > API Registration and click on API Actions > API Registration. Register using Direct Access option.

§  Review API Specification: - Review API specifications for performing various E-invoice and E-way bill related integration with Cygnet IRP.

§  Consume Or Develop: - User can Directly consume Cygnet IRP APIs or use it to develop their own application for E-invoice and E-way bill generation
